Do I keep my rights and royalties on Amazon KDP?

Yes. Your book is published in your own KDP account. You keep your rights, and Amazon pays royalties straight to you.

Can you publish both the ebook and the paperback?

Yes. We publish Kindle ebooks, paperbacks and hardcovers, and link them on one product page so readers can choose a format.

Should I enroll in KDP Select?

It depends on your genre and goals. KDP Select puts your ebook in Kindle Unlimited, but you cannot sell the ebook elsewhere while enrolled. We will help you weigh the pros and cons.

Do I need my own ISBN for Amazon?

No. Amazon offers a free ISBN for paperbacks and does not need one for Kindle ebooks. But if you want to sell in other stores too, your own ISBN gives you more control. We can arrange one for you.
